It’s
been a hot minute since I’ve had a new post up on here! Since my last post
which you can check out here I went on a vacation to Disney World and while I
was there Nick proposed! Obviously, I said yes! Don’t worry I will have a post
up at some point about the entire trip and the proposal!
Today
I want to talk about the Milani: Everyday Eyes eyeshadow collection! There are
six palettes in the collection but I am only talking about the first five
today. The 6th palette was a very colorful palette that would not be
suitable for everyday wear.
By now
I’m sure you have seen these in stores and have asked yourself “Do I need
this?”. Well I’m here to answer that question.
The answer is yes.
01 Must Have Naturals
The
first palette in the collection are 6 cool tone neutrals. This is the only
palette with a matte black shadow so keep that in mind if you need a black in
your collection. All of the shadows are super creamy and blendable.
My
favorite in this palette is called the “Lid” shade. It is a metallic gray/brown
that looks beautiful on the lid especially when applied wet.
02 Bare
Necessities
The 2nd
palette in the collection are a mix of browns and golds. I found this palette
to be lacking in pigment for the two metallic colors but they work alright when
wet. The real bread winner of this palette is the “Base” shade. It is the
perfect highlight color! This palette is almost worth the color for that color
alone but if you had to skip on one I would say skip this.
03 Earthy
Elements
If you
are looking to pick up one palette in this collection, then this is your baby.
I love every shadow in the palette! Pigmented, blendable and can be used for
multiple looks from a warm neutral eye to a super smoky look!
04 Plum Basics
Another
must have in your collection especially if you love purples. There was only one
color that didn’t really work for me and that was the “Specialty” shade but the
other five shades are amazing especially the dark purple “Crease” shade.
05 Smoky
Essentials
This
palette was defiantly made for smoky looks. This palette is a little out of my
comfort zone but just like the other palettes the shadows are pigmented and
blendable. The “Specialty” shad it my favorite in the palette, it is a blue
silver shade that looks great all of the lid. If you love blues and smoky looks
then this palette is a must have in your collection.
Overall
the quality of these palettes is great especially for a drugstore product. The
packaging is beautiful! It is made of plastic but it feels like a durable
plastic! I love the gold! The only downside is that there are no mirrors in any
of the palettes and the brush that it comes with isn’t the best.
Some
of these palettes are definitely worth picking up if you spot them in the
store!
Let me
know if the comments below if you have tried any of these palettes out! I would
love to know which ones were your favorites!
Until
next time!
