Tarte: Rainforest of the Sea-Water Foundation Review

Hello lovelies!!

It’s been forever since I’ve had a review for you! Over the past couple of weeks, I have been trying out the Tarte: Rainforest of the Sea- Water Foundation in Fair-Light-Neutral.

I LOVE IT!

It goes on smooth and buffs out beautifully. It is also buildable without getting cake-face. An added bonus it has SPF15 sunscreen in it. My face feels hydrated whenever I wear this foundation.

I think this is a great vacation foundation. By that I mean that you can throw this on and have a good skin day with minimal makeup (honestly you just need this and some bronzer)

This foundation is a dropper which some people dislike but I honestly didn’t mind it. It is in a glass bottle which isn’t the most travel friendly but if you wrap it up (socks work great!) it should make the trip!

There is one downside to this foundation… it doesn’t have a great color selection for deeper skin tones. There are only 12 shades to pick from which isn’t a lot compared to other brands but if you have fair to medium skin you should be able to find your shade.

This foundation is $39.00 for 1oz which is a great deal compared to other brands. It is also a Sephora exclusive

Overall I give this foundation a big thumbs up!

Let me know in the comments below what some of your favorite vacation foundations are?

Until next time!

xo Erica

  1. YES! It's the greatest, isn't it? It is so lightweight and looks like skin but better because I totally have acne scars and break the hell out randomly but this is like perfect. :)

  2. I really want to try this foundation! I've heard a few good things now. I wish Tarte were easier to get hold of here in the Uk. I'm planning on making a Sephora order soon though, and this will certainly be on my list :) For a light weight base I've been loving the bare mineral complexion rescue. xx

    1. Hey Leanne!

Did you ever get a hold of this foundation? What are your thoughts?

I haven't tried the Bare Mineral Complexion Rescue but I will make sure to pick it up next time I am at Sephora!

    1. Hey Elizabeth!

It should have a shade light enough. Every foundation I get I typically get the lightest shade possible yay pale girl problems! This wasn't too dark for me and my paleness
