IPSY GLAMBAG: Unboxing

So earlier this month I tweeted a poll about if you guys would rather see the box showdown for January or individual unboxing’s. Well if you haven’t figured it out by the title of this post individual posts won out!

My first subscription to show up this month was my IPSY Glambag!

I did a second poll a week ago about what unboxing you guys were looking forward to the most and there was NO LOVE for IPSY. ZERO. ZIP. ZILCH.

BUT! I think you guys will be pretty impressed with what IPSY sent out this month!

So lets’ jump in!

AVEENO: Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Funny story! I actually use to use this lotion before I switched to the lotion I currently use. I got a sample size which is perfect to throw in my purse and use on the go! I love this lotion for dry hands but as an all over lotion it just didn’t work that great for me which is why I switched.  My cousin, on the other hand, swears by this lotion! Depending on the size you get this can cost between $6.99- $10.99.

Trestique: Mini Matte Lip Crayon in Florence Fig

So two months ago we got this same thing just in a different color (November Bag). I am a fan of these mini Matte lip crayons. I think the formulation is creamy and pigmented. This particular color is a mauve/nude. I think this color is perfect for all skin types! The full size of this product costs $28.00 but you can get three minis in a set for $32.00 so this makes this individual one around $10.60 (which by the way I only pay $10 a month for this bag)

City Color: Eyeshadow Trio in Falling Leaves

I have never heard of this brand before. Their packaging states that they are cruelty free which is always a plus. This trio is full size which retails for $5.99. The main ingredient in this is Talc which I know someone people are not big fans of, I personally don’t have an opinion on it.

I don’t know if it was just me but I had the hardest time opening up the lid… I still do. I think the packaging is sleek looking despite it being made of plastic. It doesn’t come with a mirror but the top is clear so that you can see the colors within.

As for the colors there is a matte redish brown color, a sparkly brown with gold flecks and a light tan color with silver flecks. All three colors feel about the same. They aren’t too rough and powdery but they aren’t smooth like butter they are somewhere right in the middle.  I didn’t have much fall out and they blended out nicely but they are not very pigmented.

The matte color is a very beautiful transition shade. The light color kind of disappears when you blend it out but it does give off a slight glow that make it good for a light make-up day. The brown with gold flecks is buildable and I think with some fix + that it would really make it pop.

theBalm: Mr. Write (Now) in Jac B. Bronze

HONEY YASSSSS! This eyeliner is GORGEOUS! I didn’t realize what was missing in my life until this beauty! It pops with my blue eyes and stays right where I put it! There is one downside to it though, if you are planning on smoking it out, good luck. This is a full size eyeliner which retails for $17.00! (DANG IPSY killing it with the full size products!)

Ofra Cosmetic: Eyebrow Pencil in Universal

I’m gonna be honest and I was REALLY impressed with this brow pencil. It is the only brow pencil I have been using since I got it. I was complimented twice when I wore it to a friend’s birthday party and let’s be real no one is just gonna compliment your brows unless they look killa.

This filled in my brows beautifully and blended out great with a spoolie. I didn’t have to set it at all and it didn’t slide down my face. This is a full size product which retails for $13.00.

Holy Moly full size products! I honestly thought that maybe IPSY and Boxycharm got confused this month! I only have one sample this month in the bag which by the way is super adorable. So not including that the total value of stuff sent this month was $46.49… I pay $10.00 a month... let that soak in a minute.

I’m not sure why IPSY didn’t get any love on twitter this month but it is definitely getting love from me! A great bag to start off the year!
